Tehri Dam is one of the biggest and the highest dams, which is located on the banks of River Bhagirathi. It is a multi-purpose project owned by the THDC Limited and was constructed in 2006 after years of planning and construction. It is the world’s largest hydro-electrical project that draws water from two major rivers- Bhilangana and Bhagirathi.
