Every year we celebrate Republic Day on 26 January. India won independence on the memorable day of 15th August 1947. After three years on 26th January 1950, the country was declared republic. It was that honorable day, on which the Constitution of India came into force.
It has been 68 years since when this day is celebrated with all enthusiasm and respect towards the country. India witnesses a national holiday on this day every year with all the schools, colleges, and government offices closed.
Delhi Republic day parade is one major event held in the capital of the country. The parade starts from the gates of the Rashtrapati Bhavan and goes past to the India Gate. The entire ceremony is focused on showcasing India’s culture and social heritage, and defense capability.
All the nine to twelve regiments of the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force march past in their fineries and official decorations. Even the civil forces and Para-military forces of India take part in this parade. The President of India himself who is also the Commander-in-Chief takes the salute.
All the weapons, cultural essence, and plans are showcased on this occasion. This one day bring all the Indians at one place, making them think of one topic.
