Jaisalmer’s second most famous spot after the Jaisalmer Fort is Patwon Ki Haveli, which is not only a beautiful building, but rather is a mix of five diverse Havelis, each with its very own particular nature. Patwon Ki Haveli, with its novel design and architecture is a standout amongst the most noteworthy Havelis in Jaisalmer, and Rajasthan. This haveli was constructed by Guman Chand Patwa in the year 1805. He was a rich trader of jewelery and find brocades. Patwa was a rich man and a notable broker of his time and he could manage the cost of and hence arrange the development of independent stories for each of his 5 children. These were finished in the traverse of 50 years. Each of the five houses were developed in the initial 60 years of the nineteenth century.
