Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam is one of the most famous Indian scientists that launched vehicle technology in India. He is also famous as the missile man of India. He was also elected as the 11th president of India. The full name of Kalam is Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam.

Kalam was born on 15th October 1931 and got dead in 27th July 2015. He was born in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu. He was born in a poor family where his father was the owner of a boat and his mother was a housewife. He helped his family by distributing newspapers. He was a pure vegetarian. From his childhood, he was interested in mathematics. He completed his graduation from the Joseph’s College in Physics. He completed his engineering in aerospace from the Madras Institute of Technology. He wanted to become a fighter pilot. Later he joined DRDO. He worked really hard and got the “Missle Man of India” title. On 27th July 2015, he was dead in Shillong.

He designed a small helicopter for the Indian Army and started his career. He worked as a scientist in DRDO and worked very hard. He spends him all time in research in defense and space arena. He worked independently on the project of a rocket. He later joined ISRO in 1969. He was the head of the first Satellite Launch Vehicle of India. He was given funds for his projects from the Indira Gandhi secretly. He also got funds for his mission IGMDP. He developed a number of missiles in his life. The famous missile Agni and Prithvi were also developed by him. He also worked as the prime minister’s Chief Scientific Adviser. In the Pokhran-II nuclear tests, he worked as the main Project Coordinator.

Kalam wrote many books in his career. Some of his books include India 2020, mission India, Inspiring Thoughts, Wings of Fire and many others. He loved to write poetry in Tamil language and playing Venai instrument. He was also owner many times with awards including Bharat Ratna, Padma Vibhushan, Veer Savarkar Award, Padma Bhushan and some other as well.
