Madhya Pradesh is a Central Indian state which is also popularly known as the Heart of India due to its geographical location. Bhopal is the capital of this state. Hindi is the official language here. It is the second largest state in the country.

Earlier when Chattisgarh was part of Madhya Pradesh then it was the largest state in India. This state has the largest reserves of copper and diamond in India. MP also has rich agricultural land and many crops like wheat, soybean, rice, maize, cotton, gram, etc.

It is also a state with growing tourism industry as it has historical and religious significance. Khajuraho and Sanchi are two big cities of MP which are popular among tourists from across the globe. Some other popular tourist destinations are Jabalpur, Bhojpur, Maheshwar, Kanha, Ujjain, etc. This place is mostly inhabited by tribal communities.

The culture here is very colorful and its folk music called Relo folk showcases it well. There are several other art forms peculiar only to this state like Leha song, Dhankul song, Gaur, Stilt dance, Chait parah, etc. This state has many tourist attractions like forts, museums, wildlife sanctuaries, ancient temples, etc.

Khajuraho temple is popular across the globe for its erotic scriptures and Kandariya Mahadev along with Dulhadeo temple are the famous architectural majesty of this place. Sanchi is famous for its Buddhist monuments. Bhedaghat is a famous marble rock mountain on the river Narmada which is situated near Jabalpur city. Kumbh Mela is also celebrated here every 12 years. Every inch of this state will take you on a journey to the ancient times.
