Keylong is not less than an oasis; resting between the snow clad white mountains on one side and brown barren mountains on the other, it provides just spectacular view. All roads of transportation to this heavenly place are cut out from October-end to mid-May because the heavy snowfalls block those routes.
The various Buddhist pilgrimage centers in Keylong are known for their historic significance and outstanding architectural designs. Kardang Monastery, Shasur Monastery, Tayul Monastery and Guru Ghantal Monastery are the famous monasteries here. While, the other must-visit destinations are Sissu, Tandi, Udaipur, Triloknath Temple, Rohtang Pass and Gemur.
