Kerala is known as ‘God’s own country’ and it is situated on the tropical Malabar Coast. The capital of this state is Thiruvananthapuram. It has Arabian Sea shoreline on the west. This beautiful place in India is famous for palm-lined beaches and backwaters. It is a serene beautiful state with a slender coastal strip which stretches up to 600km.

Kerala has a rich land for agriculture and many crops are grown in this state. Tea is produced in a large quantity here along with different types of spices. Kerala is home to many animals like exotic birds, wild elephants, odd tiger, etc. The culture of Kerala is showcased in the folk art called Kathakali plays which are very popular in this region and it is a highly stylized form of temple dance, mime, and theatre.

There are many things a tourist can include in his itinerary like spending a night in Kettuvaalum houseboat, cruising on the backwaters, spending a day-out at a secluded beach, visit temples, explore the nature, and do many things. Kovalam beach is a nice tourist spot. Boating is offered at many places like Bekal Boat Stay.

Snake boat race is also an important part of their culture. Muzhappilangad beach is the only drivable beach of India. Here the ancient culture has been able to thrive under all circumstances.

People here share a special bond with mother earth and many natural products are considered and selected over chemical products. Mainly Ayurveda is popular among the people here. The people of this state are called Malayali and Malayalam is the official language spoken here. The state is the real beauty of India and a perfect blend of scenic view and rich culture.
