Known as the paradise of Tigers, Jim Corbett National Park is a famous wildlife holiday spot located in Uttrakhand. Actually, it is a gem for nature lovers and the wildlife enthusiasts, which is surrounded by the green lush trees and the grasslands. It has a great variety of flora and fauna. It is the First Tiger Reserve in India that was established in 1936 and was then named as Hailey National Park.
Another name, Ramganga National Park, was given to it after India’s independence and it was in 1956, when it got its real name- Jim Corbett National Park. Spread over the area of 521 square kilometers, the park has 600 species of birds, 488 species of plants and a wide variety of animals which includes Tigers, Chital, Muntjac, Sambar Deer, King Cobra, Nilgai, Gharial, Hedgehog, Flying fox, Indian Pangolin and more.
