Jharkhand

Jharkhand was originally a part of Bihar which was later established as an individual state on 15th November 2000. Ranchi is the capital of the state. Some languages which are spoken here are Hindi, Santhali, Urdu, Bengali, and English. It is known as the steel state. It is one of the richest mineral zones and it provides a huge percentage of India’s minerals and coal reserves. Many minerals are found here like coal, copper ore, uranium, granite, limestone, graphite, magnetite, dolomite, silver, iron ore and the list is long.

The state enjoys plenty of established industries in the region like mining and mineral extraction, handloom, automotive, cement, food, etc. Agriculture is also an important sector in this state as 80 percent of the rural population is dependent on agriculture for their source of income.

Travelers will find this place peaceful and blissful as the city is surrounded by thick verdant forests, hills, waterfalls, lakes, and rivers. You will ample of scenic beauty around the state as it enjoys the diverse landscape. There are several national parks, wildlife sanctuaries, museum, etc. Some popular tourist destination here is Netarhat region, Lodh Falls, Hundra falls and many more.

The culture in Jharkhand is showcased in their folk dance, folk music, and its handicraft too. Some major cities of Jharkhand are Bokaro, Dhanbad, Palamu, Jamshedpur, Hazaribagh, etc. There are several tribes living peacefully here. The state has a rocky plateau, evergreen forests, and hills which make it more beautiful. Hazaribagh wildlife sanctuary, Rajgir wildlife sanctuary, and Gautam Buddha wildlife sanctuary are some of the popular sanctuaries in this region.
