Jammu and Kashmir is a northernmost Indian state which is located in the Himalayas. The area is mostly covered with mountains. This state has some of the highest mountain peaks currently existing in the world. It is globally known as ‘India’s Switzerland’ as it is a paradise in terms of beauty of nature. Here, horticulture and floriculture are best suited according to the agro-climatic conditions. The state produces a lot of apples which are famous all over India. Cashmere wool is a fine fool which is produced here and it is popular in the whole country. Pashmina shawl is also a popular item of Kashmir. There are several small-scale industries here like carpet-weaving, silks, shawls, basketry, pottery, copper, walnut wood and many more. This state is the perfect example of true nature’s beauty.

Two of the most important pilgrimage sites are situated in J&K which is known as Amarnath and Vaishnodevi. Both of these pilgrims are an extremely important place for Hindu worshipers. Hindus from around the world come here to pray and pay offerings to their gods.
