Hanuman Garhi

Hanuman Garhi is one of the most famous tourists spot in Ayodhya. The temple is dedicated to the Lord Hanuman. The Nawab of Awadh donated the land for the purpose of building the temple. The temple is situated on the top of the hill. The visitors can reach the temple entrance by passing through 76 staircases. The visitors can enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of the surroundings from the top. The temple has an idol of hanuman which is 6 inches in height. The temple is located at a height of 6,401 feet from the level of sea. In 1950, the temple was constructed by the Neem Karoli Baba.

It is a four sided fort shaped temple. The temple also has a cave which has the main idol of Lord Hanuman. The cave is decorated beautifully. People from all over the India come here for getting blessing of Lord Hanuman. It is also said that the wishes of every human being is filled by the Lord Hanuman who visit this temple. The temple has idol image of lord Rama and mata Sita which are opening from the chest of Lord Hanuman. The tourists can also enjoy the clear sunrise and sun set view. There is also a temple of shitala mata and Lila ashram.

It is a must visit place in Nainital. From the bus stop of Nainital it is just 3.5 km away. The festivals are celebrated with great joy including Diwali, Dusshera, Ram Lila and many more. The best time to visit this temple is in the month of October and November. At this time the temple is decorated with lights and flowers which make it look beautiful. The photography is prohibited inside the temple.
