If you are interested in viewing and experiencing the culture of the entire Himalayas at one place, Soham Heritage and Art Centre is the name of your destination. Opened in November 2013, it showcases the Himalayas’ traditions and cultures through paintings, sculptures and scrap art.
Soham Heritage and Art Centre encompasses a wide collection of local work of art which includes the jewelry, clothes, vessels, musical instruments and much more. The historical heritage it displays belongs to the period between 1814 (when the first map was designed including the region) and 1959 (when the first colony was built in Mussoorie by Dalal Lama).
Also, an audio-visual journey of Uttrakhand is under development here. With all its collection, the centre is going to be a great attraction for the art lovers. As it is located in the serene forest area, you can have a stunning view of Doon Valley from here. The activities that you can get engaged in here are exploring the local history, bird watching and organizing heritage walks.
