The Musamman Burj is a very beautiful place that is situated in the city Agra. It is situated in the fort of Agra. It is a symbol of love and peace. It is the place where Shah Jahan spent the last days of his life. The Musamman Burj was constructed from 1631 to 1641. It also offers a beautiful view of the Taj Mahal. Earlier, a museum of marble was constructed by Akbar. Later, Shah Jahah uses the free space near the museum and build the Musamman Burj. He builds a multi-storied structure for his loving wife and expressed his true love.
It is very difficult to express the beautiful architecture of this Burj in words. It is the best example of paintings and culture of an architecture of Mughals. The crown of glided copper is used to make the dome and floor is made with the help of marbles. The floor marbles also show the Pachchisi game pattern. This place is used to play games and for making fun. The area looks beautiful with the number of fountains and Jharokha. The pillars look attractive with its beautiful design. It has separate bathrooms that were used by the members of the Mughal family.
The Burj also has a lotus tank in it which is the main attraction in the Burj. The roof of the structure was painted with golden and other colors as well. There is also a room that was made up of marble. It remains cool during summers.
The entry fee for the Indians is Rs 30 and for foreigners, it is Rs 300. The opening time of the Musamman Burj is from 7 AM to 6 Pm. It remains closed on Fridays.
