The Mehtab Bagh is a beautiful bagh. This bagh was built from 1631 to 1635 AD. The mehtab bagh is located near Taj Mahal, Agra. It is a square shape park. It was built by Shah Jahan and Babur. Earlier, he wants to construct a black color mahal for himself which will be the copy of Taj Mahal. But later he changed his idea. This park plays an important part of the Taj Mahal’s original design. It is the best place to view the beauty of Taj Mahal, therefore, it is also famous as the Moon garden.

The park has covered an area of 25 acres with a wall of 289-meter height. The corners of the park have towers and domes. These are constructed with the help of sandstones. There is a long pathway in the park. This pathway is constructed with the help of bricks. The Taj Mahal looks beautiful from this pathway. There is a small size shrine located at the entrance of the park. There is also a pong along the pathway. This pond looks beautiful as it also shows the image of Taj Mahal’s by reflection. There are 25 fountains around the pond. There are many trees in the park including Neem, Ashoka, Guava and many others.

There are many beds of colorful flowers in the park. This makes the park more beautiful and colorful. Earlier, the garden has many attractive things but all of that was once destroyed in a flood. It is the best spot to view the beauty of Taj Mahal. It was the last garden that was designed by the Mughals.

The visitors can carry eatable things inside the park. The park remains open from 6 AM to 6 PM on all days of the week. The entrance fee in the park is Rs 100 for Indians and Rs 15 for the Children. The best time to visit this park is in the months of winter and some months of summer.
