Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden is located in the foothills of Zabarwan Range, Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is opened in 2007 in an area of 30 hectares. The Government of Jammu and Kashmir is the owner of this garden and is operated by the Department of Flori-culture. This garden is located near the famous Dal Lake. In Srinagar, it is one of the most famous tourist points. It is located 9 km from the Srinagar.

Indira Gandhi Tulip Garden is also one of the largest Tulip gardens in Asia. From all over the world, millions of tourists visited this garden every year. The mild slopes of Zabarwan hills add more beauty to this garden. Its multi-colored tulip flowers in the various rows add more beauty to this garden. The garden has a beautiful collection of Tulip flowers with 70 different varieties. The garden has different colored tulip flowers including red, mauve, orange, yellow, purple and many others as well. Apart from these, there are also multi-colored hybrid flowers and few beds of rose flower. All the flowers look beautiful having different shapes as well. There are unique flower beds for each variety of about 1 m width and 80 m in length. The seeds of the flowers were brought from the Spain.

The best time period to visit this garden is from March to May. Every year, the flowers only bloom for 25 to 30 days. For the lovers of flower, April is the best month to visit this garden. A Tulip festival is also celebrated by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir in the April month. In this celebration, you can enjoy the full bloom views of flowers in the garden. The garden’s daily opening and closing timing are 9 am to 7 pm. The entry fee for children is Rs. 25 and for adults it is Rs. 50. The visitors can capture their unique pictures and can enjoy the beautiful scenic view of the garden.
