Baramulla is one of the places in the Jammu & Kashmir. This place is also known by his name as Varahamula or Varmul. This place is located on the Jhelum River’s bank on the downstream from the Srinagar.
History and land: In 2306 BC, this city was founded by the Raja Bhimsina. In 1508, this place was visited by the Akbar, great Mughal Emperor. This place covers an area of more than 4190 sq km. It has 8 tehsils and 16 blocks. It is one of the oldest towns. It was also one of the gateways to Kashmir valley. On its western side border, it has Kashmir that was occupied by Pakistan. The south side of this place has a border with Kupwara. Its eastern side has Ladakh, Srinagar, and budgam.
